Buoyed by a very positive pre-season testing programme, top Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship team SWR is focused on a strong start to the 2015 campaign at Oulton Park International Circuit next weekend, 4th/5th/6th April, with exciting driver pairing Jordan Albert and Zubair Hoque. For 18-year-old Hoque, who resides in Hale in Cheshire, the championship curtain-raiser will provide a welcome opportunity to begin his first full season in car racing on home ground, albeit on a track he only experienced for the first time earlier this week during a general test day. Having debuted in BRDC F4 during last November’s Winter Championship, Hoque became SWR’s first 2015 signing back in January and since then has been racking up the miles at a variety of tracks which feature on the main championship calendar. Team-mate Jordan Albert, meanwhile, heads into his second season with the Chipping Norton team as one of the genuine title challengers and will be seeking to get his sophomore year in BRDC F4 off to a glittering start with some podium silverware at Oulton. Securing five podiums during last year’s Winter Championship, the Silverstone-based driver was also a rostrum finisher during the main 2014 season and is certainly heading into the new campaign high in confidence of a consistent front-running bid. “We’re all looking forward to the start of the new season, there’s a great atmosphere in the team and we’re confident Jordan and Zubair can each have a strong year”, said SWR team owner Sean Walkinshaw, “We’ve had a good pre-season with both drivers and they’ll each get some important track time at Oulton next week before the race weekend. “Zubair has made good steps forward over the last couple of months, he needs more time in the car to build his confidence but he’s definitely moving in the right direction. Jordan has been quick, as we expected, and he is confident of starting the season very strongly. Hopefully we’ll be able to get the championship off to the best start possible.” Qualifying for the opening race meeting of the Duo BRDC F4 Championship season will take place at 11.45 on Saturday, 4th April, with the first 20-minute encounter set to follow at 15.25. Following a day off on Easter Sunday, round two is scheduled for 10.40 on Easter Monday, 6th April, with round three set to begin at 14.35.
