THE MAD DOG STREETVELODROME CYCLING TEAM HIT THE TV SCREENS

Earlier this year Mad Dog Drinks invested in one of four team franchises to compete in the StreetVelodrome series across the UK. The StreetVelodrome Series is the World’s only televised pursuit racing competition using an innovative pop-up velodrome course. The Series consists of five regional events supporting both the start of the Common Wealth Games and the Tour De France plus a Super Final held right in the financial heart of the City of London.

The StreetVelodrome TV Series is presented by Nicole Cooke MBE and Sky Sports’ Kait Borsay with race commentary by Eurosport’s Carlton Kirby. It will tell the human

interest story of the competing amateur riders, coached by their Pro rider teammates as they battle their way to the Super Final, and contributing to their team winning the

Series. In the StreetVelodrome Series every second counts and every rider matters.

StreetVelodrome will first be shown on Channel 4. The series includes two episodes of one hour each and will give viewers the background of the StreetVelodrome concept, insight features, elite and amateur rider interviews and of course the all important race action.

The initial broadcast date for Episode 1 on Channel 4 is 14th September at 5.30am. Episode 2 is being shown on the 21st September at the same time with several repeats thereafter so set your sky box recorders to find out whether or not team Mad Dog powered to victory! The series will also be shown on British Eurosport with Episode 1 being shown at the prime time viewing slot of 8.15pm on the 17th September and Episode 2 at 8pm on 28th September.

Sky Sports will be showing Episode 1 at 5pm on the 1st October and midnight and again on the 2nd October 1.30pm and 8pm and also the 3rd October at 5am and 5pm. Episode 2 will be shown on the 8th October at 5pm. 9th October at 8.30pm and 10th October at 11am.

The series will also be shown on 27 other channels and networks across the world offering coverage in over 180 countries. Check local listings for further date and time information.
